POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Engineer plans and designs product applications, assembles project teams, and coordinates complex activities related to the design, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess and enhance manufacturing methods to improve efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
  • Develop production-time estimates, staffing requirements, and associated cost projections to support informed management decision-making.
  • Lead the transition of products from development into full-scale production.
  • Provide oversight of product manufacturing activities and implement process-optimization initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison with customers regarding engineering and product-related matters.
  • Notify management of potential issues involving product quality, design, or other engineering functions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Three to five years of relevant professional experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Required visual abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The work environment may be loud.
